Description

Sony provide firmware update for their Sony® DVD-RW AW-G540A Model VGN-TZ398U/XC. This version of firmware will update the VGP-UDRW1 external USB optical drive to version 1.W2 and provides the following benefits:

1. Support Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 operating systems
2. Resolves an issue where an error may occur when performing a backup and restore within Windows 7
3. Support for the gapless playback feature when creating a music CD/DVD using Windows Media Player program.

1. Double click the SOFOPD-00211444-1070.EXE file to begin the installation.
2. If the [User Account Control] screen appears, click [Yes] or [Continue].
3. At the [VGP-UDRW1] screen, click [Next].
4. At the [License Agreement] page, click [I Agree].
5. At the [Sony Drive Firmware Flash Utility] screen, click [Flash].
6. At the [Update successful] screen, click [Close].
7. At the [Finished] screen click [Finish].
8. Restart your computer to complete the installation.
