Description
Registration is required for Panasonic Toughbook users to access to the product help and support. At least that is required in Panasonic.com. And to register you will need a valid serial number.
In Panasonic Australia site (Panasonic.com.au), there is no need to register in order to get the drivers and manuals for Toughbook. However, I only manged to locate the video driver file for Toughbook CF-27 MKIII model. No luck in looking for CF-29 video driver thou.
Looking into Touchbook CF-29 data sheet file, I managed to find out the video chipset used. It is using Intel 915GMS Graphic Controller UMA (Unified Memory Access) up to 128MB.
So now we can try to use the Mobile Intel 915GMS Express Chipset graphic driver in Intel website. Besides the graphic driver, Intel also provide chipset software installation utility and Intel Matrix Storage Manager. Here is the link.
No direct link to the driver file is provided. Instead once you click on the driver download link you will be directed to Intel Driver Update Utility/detect page. Here Intel Driver Update Utility will try to analyze your Panasonic Toughbook CF-29 and let you download the driver.
Sure is a lot of work for a display driver, I would say ;)
