Description
This is the Logitech MouseWare software which should provide driver support for your MX300 series, including MX 310 optical mouse. The driver works in supports Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows NT 4.0 SP6, Windows 2000 and Windows XP. However, please be noted USB mice are only supported under Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows 2000, and Windows XP.
Installation is simple. Download the driver file and double click it to start the installation. You will see the Logitech MouseWare 9.79.1 Setup screen. You will be able to select the components you are going to install. I personally unticked the eBay Shortcut component and leave only MouseWare component to be installed. Leaving eBay shortcut uninstalled will free you for 10 K free space. Not a lot but I prefer my desktop to be as clean as possible. The driver will the asked for the destination folder. The default is c:/Program Files/Logitech.
There is another method to install the MX310 driver. You can read more on the readme.txt for the Driver-Only installation under Windows 2000 and XP. I personally find the method above the easiest.
