The X1270 offers 4800 x 1200 dots on photo paper and flatbed scanner with Accu-Feed paper handling system which virtually eliminates paper jams.
The Vista driver also supports the following models:
Lexmark X1240, Lexmark X1250, Lexmark X1270, Lexmark X1280, Lexmark X1290, Lexmark X1290
To avoid any problem, remember to disconnect the USB connection from PC to your X1270, then uninstall any prior driver (XP/2000). Restart your PC and start the Vista driver installation. Only plug in the connection cable when your are being told to do so.
