An user has posted questions on the Windows XP audio driver for Compaq Presario C552US notebook on HP IT Resource Center. He is claiming:
Compaq support site does not seem to have the most necessary of drivers - chipset, NIC, video, audio, etc. I\'ve tried searching both \'general\' and \'it resources\', so far to no avail.
So someone has proposed him to try this Microsoft Universal Audio Architecture (UAA) Bus Driver for High Definition Audio (sp32646) for Presario C552US in Windows XP. And viola! the device manager screen is clean now. The user claimed that \"the solution provided was just what was needed. Lower level (chipset) drivers were what was missing. The Compaq support page did contain - mostly - the correct drivers - ASSUMING - you had the correct chipset drivers loaded first.
So just have a try if you cant find the audio driver in HP website.
