The BIOS update for this Acer Aspire 5532 Notebook is obtain from Acer website directly. According to the BIOS update history, this latest version actually modifies 'Exit Discarding Changes' strings in BIOS setup configuration.

According to Acer, there is 2 method to flash Acer Aspire 5532 BIOS. After you have downloaded the BIOS_Acer_1.11_A_A.zip, unzip the file. Then follow the method mentioned below to perform the Acer Aspire 5532 BIOS update.

  1. If you wish to perform Acer Aspire 5532 BIOS update under DOS, the method is very simple. You just have to run NCWxx111.BAT batch file pure DOS environment. NCWxx111.BAT is located in \\BIOS_Acer_1.11_Windows\DOS folder.
  2. You may also flash it under Windows environment. From the unzip folder, look for NCWxx111.exe located in \\BIOS_Acer_1.11_Windows\Windows folder. You just have to double click the NCWxx111.exe. to flash BIOS in Windows x32 or x64 OS.
Kindly note that if your system is running fine, it is strong advisable not to flash or update the BIOS, as it might cause the system unable to boot up. Statement quoted from Acer website
