Description
Drivers for Ralink RT2500 wireless chipset are provided by Ralink as is without warranty. Why?
Ralink is an OEM chipset maker who shipped millions of WLAN chipsets for use in desktop computers, notebook PCs, PDAs, video game consoles and many other personal computing applications. Many welknown brandnames use Ralink RT2500, such as ASUS, D-Link, Foxconn and Suretek.
Because Ralink only OEM the chipsets for use in other welknown brandnames, other manufacturers may put in additional modifications on the OEM version of Ralink RT2500, thus the RT2500 driver provided by Ralink here may not be 100 percent compatible.
As such, Ralink suggests that if you have an issue with your wireless devices, you may want to contact your manufacturer for information regarding drivers, installations, repairs and upgrades.
In fact, Ralink receives calls and e-mail from users who believe that Ralinkbuild and sell consumer wireless devices. I repeat here: Ralink does NOT manufacture consumer wireless devices. Ralink Technology only designs the RT2500 chipsets for the technology, which are in turn custom-designed for every manufacturer Ralink do business with.
