Description

This is the latest SMC 1211 EZ Card driver (ver 1.07) which offer the following new enhancement for SMC EZ Card 10/100 (SMC1211 Series):

1. Add WinXp Directory for support Windows XP.
2. Update Packet Driver for fix multicast problem.
3. Update Setup program for fix D3 cold problem

1. Download and extract DR_SMC1211TX_all.zip to a temporary folder e.g. c:/smc1211/
2. Plug SMC EZ Card 10/100 (SMC1211 Series) adapter into one of the Master PCI slots of your PC.
3. Turn your PC ON, then boot into Windows XP.
4. Windows XP will detect SMC EZ Card 10/100 (SMC1211 Series) then install the in-box driver automatically.

   If you want to use native driver, skip the following steps,because the device driver already been installed. Hoewer it is advisable to use the latest driver.

5. Press Start Button from Desktop, select Control panel and click it.

   After Contorl Panel window appears, double-click System icon.

6. Select Hardware tab, then click Device Manager button. Windows XP will show all the devices on your computer.
7. Select Network Adapter, then remove SMC EZ Card 10/100 (SMC1211 Series).
8. Press Start button again, select All Programs -> command prompt.
9. Type the following commands from DOS prompt,

   CD C:/WINDOWS/INF

   DEL NETRTSNT.*

10. Come back to Device Manager window, click Scan for hardware changes icon.
11. Windows XP will show Add New hardware Wizard diaglog box.

    At this moment, please select Install from a List or specific Location(Advanced)., then click NEXT button.

12. Please select c:/smc1211/ folder, after that, click the Next button.
13. When Windows XP prompts SMC EZ Card 10/100 (SMC1211 Series) Adapter in the Add New Hardware Wizard dialog box, click the Finish button.
14. Now your SMC1211 EZ Card 10/100 network card will be updated to the latest ver. 1.07 driver.
